Videos We Make Here: Condé Nast

Condé Nast is no stranger to great storytelling. The home of Vogue, Bon Appetit, GQ, and The New Yorker (among other globally recognized brands), Condé Nast’s history of creating the content we can’t stop talking about keeps audiences engaged across print and digital platforms. However, as technology changes the way audiences consume news and entertainment, traditional publishers like Condé Nast are rethinking what kind of career professionals they must prioritize to lead loyal audiences into the new era of media.

The ask

Building talent brand content highlighting a global product, technology, and data team can be challenging, even for Condé Nast, an employer that understands the nuances of branding better than most. With so much attention being paid to consumer behavior, finding the right tone specifically targeting tech focused candidates had proven to be a struggle for Condé Nast. After all, any videos that could help serve as a building block for Condé’s Global Product, Technology, and Data (GPTD) talent brand had to meet the editorial standards of one of the world’s most famous publishers.

How we did it

Uncubed Studios began our global video production journey by asking one very important question: what innovations within the GPTD team excited Condé Nast the most? As storytellers, we wanted to find products or challenges that captured Condé’s historic brands as well as highlight the use of technology as a connecting thread. We discovered that both livestream video for global events and RECKON, a feature that suggests and delivers relevant content to readers via newsletters from publications like The New Yorker, were two unique storylines that best captured Condé’s commitment to delivering the most meaningful content to its audiences.

Want to know why your newsletter knows exactly what you want to read? Let us introduce you to RECKON.

Uncubed Studios worked with Condé Nast’s Talent Acquisition team to identify members of the GPTD team who were directly involved in livestream technology and RECKON, a journey that required our Uncubed Studios team to film across Condé Nast’s offices in New York, London, Bangalore, and Chennai.

Through our interview and editing process, our team captured why these stories are compelling as well as how Condé Nast builds culture globally. Though we could go on about the nuances of what organizing a global video shoot entails, what matters is the end result, which is why we’re just going to let our featured work to the talking from here on out.

Why these videos are important

Being able to discover and share employer brand stories for any company is rewarding, but when it’s a media powerhouse that earns trust with audiences through content, creating feature and sizzle videos is especially rewarding. We’re thankful to be able to help provide talent branded content for Condé GPTD Team that can serve as a catalyst for future stories highlighting this critical aspect of Condé’s continued legacy.
